Good News! (Even with an ice storm on the way!)

The donkey has found a wonderful, forever home!! Carolyn and Curt of Donkey Hollow graciously welcomed the little girl donk to their lovely farm on Saturday.

She must have know she was going somewhere good because even loading her was easy! (I did give her a little tranq to help) but a carrot bribe was enough to finish the job!

I went and bought a load of brome hay this weekend, just in time for the potential ice storm coming our way.

Margo had some serious swelling Friday night when I got home. Dan said she did a *HUGE* spook when he walked down there to close the back gate. He said she was dozing and as he walked around the corner of the barn, she took off so hard she tore up clumps of earth and pulled up at a trot limping behind.

When I got home Friday, she was putting zero weight on her near side hind and had a TON of swelling on the outside of her leg. Freak out!

I kept her up in the stall, wrapped up, buted up, and she was sound on it Sunday night... Still showing some swelling, but Thank God, she is sound!
