Houdini Pete

So, there is a small gap in my fence, where an end post doesn't quite meet one of my farm buildings. It was blocked with two crossed t-posts and a board. Until yesterday, when Petey managed to knock all that down and then squeeze his fat little body through the two foot gap. Good Grief!

So, Dan comes home last night, and saw Pete in the back, near where I park my trailer. Peter is such a little turd, Dan cannot catch him. So Dan opens the gate, hoping Pete will just walk back in the field (Yeah right!) That doesn't work, so Dan goes in the barn and shakes around the grain bin until Pete can't take it anymore and has to come in an investigate. BAM! Pete is caught! (Good job Dan!)

So, I get home and Dan tells me all this, so out I go to check it out. It is funny that you can tell exactely what happened, as the ground is so soft, showing all of Pete's little hoof prints all over. Pete escaped, then apparently munched some grass until Margo realized he was out.

It is easy to see that Margo threw a bit of a fit, as her big, galloping foot prints have made a mess down the inside of one section of fence. Pete, realizing he couldn't get back in, trotted up and down the fence row behind my house, and stopped to investigate the mailbox at some point.

Margo must of calmed down, but stood at the fence while Pete walked around the backyard, most likely eating and sniffing stuff. (Head shaking...)

What a stinker! Thank God he didn't go trotting down the road or cause any worse trouble... Yikes!
