Christmas Kitty keeps waking us up in the middle of the night. He sits outside the patio door in the bedroom and claws the screen to come in. So, Dan gets up to let him in. Then, he will eat and then come stand over Dan's head and say "MEOW, MEOW, MEOW" really loud until Dan gets up and lets him back out.
This used to just happen once a night, but now, Christmas will go out, then decide he wants in again. Dan had to let him in/out FOUR times last night. Dan is mad. :(
How do you get a cat to stop doing this?
I like this cat picture, maybe we should start bugging Christmas while he is trying to sleep...

First off... get thy cat to a neutery. He needs to be neutered.
Second, I'd pick in or out and make him stay. Personally, I'd pick in because it's just safer for him at night. But if you don't neuter you always run the risk of him starting to spray/mark things in the house. At his age... it's still not 100% that neutering will stop this activity, but he will live longer and won't be exposed to lots of crap out there.
Next... if you want to keep him in, those bottles of compressed air that you buy to get the dust out of your computer will be your best friend for a while.
That is the BEST way to get a cat to leave you alone. They hate it. Water squirts work too, but that leaves a wet mess and the air works better.
If you choose to leave him outside, you will have to face that you'll have some sleepless nights in your 'untraining' of him. YOU guys have trained him that if he just makes enough racket, you'll do his bidding, lol. Cats are awesome at training their people.
So you'll have to go through the annoying trials of untraining him! No real way around that unless you fix up a room in your barn where you can lock him in at night. ;)
