Looking For Paint Stud, Service
I am thinking of breeding my Mustang Mare again, and I`m wanting a Paint in the end. So if you have a Paint Stallion that you`d breed please Send me a pic, and an E-mail and a price that you would charge... I`m not looking for bloodlines, or anything to be papered, the off spring will be horse that I have always wanted... Thanks...

OMG~ I could not stop myself. I had to email this person. Here is my *nice* reply...
"You should consider buying the horse you always wanted, rather than breeding a grade horse, that might not turn out to be paint.
The sell barns are full and horses are cheap. Please consider this.
Thanks! Have a nice weekend. :)"

Here, I found this person a horse...

Paint Filly - $100 (springfield, mo)

Here is another one...
3 yr old (must sell) - $150 (fair grove)

When you basically cannot even give away young grade horses, WHY would you want to breed more???

Also, the Springfield Livestock Marketing Center is having a horse auction tonight... You can pick up a yearling there for about $35 bucks. (sigh...)

I also came across this lovely...
apha palomino gelding
...blah blah blah, sale ad...
"BEWARE, JOSH BEIST IS A PRICK."
Ha-ha! I don't know who that is, but that is funny.

Thanks!

My car had been running kind of rough lately, so Daniel and his Dad were going to change out the transmission fluid. Daniel drove my car yesterday and his Dad came and got it and ended up taking it to Pepboy's. He had a tune up done on it, then put four new tires on it for me! Yay!

Thanks Dan's Dad! I am a lucky girl to have such good parents and in-laws! :)

$125 Shoes

Well, any one of these pairs would last me a lot longer the the pairs on Margo's feet! $125!!! :)

I would take this pair in gray OR purple...

I like these crazy sneakers... Riding boots, the only shoes I would actually probably pay $125+ for...

Heart Attack

Well, my regular farrier has been really busy lately and I haven't been able to get him out to my farm, so I called another guy to come out and shoe my two horses.

My regular farrier, Cody, charges me $60 to do all four of Margo's feet in new shoes. He charges me $30 for a trim on the pony (kind of expensive for the pony, but that is okay, only $90 total.)

So, this other guy came out yesterday to shoe for me, so I had Daniel get me out $100 cash to pay him. Well, this guy charges $125 for a full set!!! OMG! He uses a slightly heavier shoe with toe clips, but still! Gah! That is SO expensive!

So then I asked how much for a trim then, he said that is the same a 'regular shoe job,' whatever that means... Yikes! So, I told him my husband has been laid off the last two months... All I have is $100 cash, I will have to write him a check for the rest. Okay...

So he shoes Margo, which he did do a really nice job, she was WAY long in the toe, and he really made an effort to correct the angles of her feet. Then he does Pete, which took 5 min tops.

So he gave me my bill, and he only charged me for Margo. I thought that was really nice. If Cody trims Pete for $30, who knows what this guy normally charges for a trim?! (Even though it seriously only took 5 min, maybe I can start trimming Pete myself?)

Anyway, I think I will have to sweet talk Cody to come do Margo next time. I can NOT afford $125 for a set of shoes! Holy Moly! I know that this guy drove out to my place, so there is gas $$$, also he said he pays $25 for the shoes themselves, but it still took him only an hour! $125 an hour! Wish my back would hold up to be a farrier!

Friday Night ~ Sho-Me Gaited Show in Republic.
I went to groom for Tara and Amber and had a lot of fun! Here is Tara and Amber right before their English Pleasure class. Don't they look awesome? Amber did really good, but was the only non Fox Trotter at the show! For an open gaited breed show, it sure seemed like a Fox Trotter show instead!

Saturday Night ~ Sho-Me Stock Horse Show in Republic.
This was this biggest show I have taken Margo to yet. There were a TON of people there! Margo was great during the warm up, but way too excited during my classes. I was proud of her though! Only our 4th or 5th show together. Here are some pictures my Mom and Dad took... I have some that Dan took as well, but not loaded on the computer yet...
Me... Margo, looking nice and clean... (I washed her tail!) Warming up...

About to enter the arena... During my Walk-Trot Western Pleasure class... (I think this is us leaving the arena, why else would we be in the middle like that?) I'll post the pics Dan took tomorrow. He got a couple of good ones from my halter class, before Margo started dancing around... :)
